Hello to JLY fans! As shocking as this may be to some of you, I just recently saw “Jersey Boys”, the movie, but was not lucky enough to have seen the stage production. I loved the movie and decided to do a little searching online. Besides listening to as many interviews of the “four seasons” as I could find, I also happened to discover a very special artist: John Lloyd Young, which, in turn, brought me to this website.

I honestly don’t know where to begin - he is a multi-faceted artist with such depth of talent. In one interview, JLY says that he is  “an interpreter of lyrics” and he wasn’t kidding - he touches people’s souls in ways that mainstream artists today cannot begin to imagine. My only regret is that I never got to see him on stage in JB and I don’t think I will get to see him perform in person anytime soon unless he has plans on coming to Toronto?

His involvement in the schools he visits through his appointment to the President’s Committee on the Arts & Humanities is priceless -those students he has contact with do not yet know how lucky they are to have him advocate for them. He seems such a natural in that environment - I wonder if anyone has told him that he would make an amazing teacher? He certainly has the ability to inspire people, especially young people.

Thank you to all his fans who share videos of JLY in performances and thank God for the Internet! I recently saw a video of JLY singing in Italian and, being a proud Italian-Canadian, can honestly say that I was moved to tears. I think I’ve seen every video and read every article there is to find on him.

I just wanted to add my voice to the many other voices of his fans and I wish John all the best of luck with his artistic career and can’t wait to see more of him in the future.
